I really need a cell phone. Everyone in my class has one. I don't want a prepaid one and I already said I would pay for it. Please Help!How do I convince my parents to get me a cell phone?

Well, sit them down and explain exactly why you want to get one. Here are some points to bring up in the conversation:





*If you had any sort of emergency, your parents could be contacted immediately.





*If your parents had an emergency, you could be contacted immediately.





*You paying for it by yourself will give you a sense of responsibility.





*You should try it out for a month and see how it goes.





*Ask to make a compromise. (e.g, do dishes every other day)





That's pretty much it. I must warn you, don't deal with Bell. They are very expensive. Been there done that, not going back again.

Well I got my first cell phone when I was 11, but to convince my parents I made up a plan on how much everything would cost. When I planned on using it, what for. Basically just show them you did your reaseach, and your responsible.
