How can I convince my parents to let me have facebook?

I need some strong points for an argument with my mom and dad. I want facebook and I need to convince them it's not that bad.How can I convince my parents to let me have facebook?
Your parents are not letting you get Facebook because they are probably afraid you'll get some creepy old guy stalking you or something.





If your parents have Facebook themselves, you could friend them so they could monitor what you were doing on Facebook so they wouldn't be worried, if they don't have Facebook, wait till one of them is free and is in a good mood, sit him/her down and go over the site, show them Facebook's privacy settings and stuff like that.

You don't have to put up anything about yourself. You can use a fake name and all, and perfectly make yourself look like a 37 year old named Bob that lives in Wyoming, if you'd like. Facebook is a fun thing that lets you connect and talk to friends when you can't see them, and there are lots of fun games and apps and stuff for it. You won't put any pictures up or your phone number or address or anything.
you get to keep in touch with people from school etc.


it's private so no one will find out your information.


you could just be friends with people you know in real life.


you don't have to put pictures of you up on it.


you don't have to put where you really live.


you'll stay safe online and not accept/add strangers.


you won't give your number/address to strangers.
