How do I convince my parents to get a ferret?

I have two dogs and two cats, but they didn't mind the guinea pigs when we had them. My mom said no, how do i convince her to say yes?How do I convince my parents to get a ferret?
The best thing to do would be to do a whole lot of research on ferrets and the kind of care they would require. Do more chores around the house to show you are responsible and willing to work for a new pet.How do I convince my parents to get a ferret?
Ask her why she said no. Sometimes their only reason is a myth, and as long as you can prove her wrong, she might just let you have a ferret. Please, if it's a financial reason, just drop it. Ferrets are expensive, and imagine being a mom and wanting to give your kid the pet that they want, but not being able to afford it and having them bug you for one when you just can't.

I can tell you right now, ferrets are a LOT more money, maintenance, and time consuming then any guinea pig will ever be.

Okay, if it's not money, do you do EVERYTHING for your dogs and cats? If not, you'll start now. Research ferrets, and write an essay on the needs of a ferret. Then write another essay on why you want a ferret. Show her these to prove you're committed. Sometimes that's all it takes. If not, ask her why she doesn't want a ferret. Whatever reason she has, prove her wrong! If she doesn't want another rodent in the house because she didn't like the guinea pigs or something, tell her, ';well, ferrets aren't rodents. They're carnivores and are actually weasels. That means that they're more related to my cats and dogs than a rat or guinea pig.'; (Which is true, by the way) Once all of her reasons are proved wrong, then her only excuse is that she just doesn't want one. If that's the case, just keep mentioning ferrets, and one day when you're at the pet store getting pet supplies, you'll find the perfect ferret. Ask the employee to play with them, and when you totally fall in love, she'll probably give in and get the ferret.
A ferret might not actually be a good pet to have in a home with cats and they require more care and attention and more complex habitat than a guinea pig. Not all rodents are the same and have different levels of care and time required in taking care of them. I am afraid that odds are very much against being able to convince your parents.
both the two answers above me (the first two) are good answers. you need to shoow that you can take on the responsibility and i say this with every single person on here thast you should NEVER buy an animal because you want it, you should make sure you know everything you can know about them first before you make that decision, that is why so many animals get given away, because the person thinks, aww cute, i want it..... eww it does that? i have to do this to keep it happy?! i dont want it, get rid of it, i want this instead....

maybe your parents think that there is too much responsibility for them right now, i know that these animals are yours,m but i bet your mum and dad have to care for them more than you do, and they have to care for you too! think from their point of view, it wont hurt to wait and assess the situation first, and it would be interesting and enlightening to research what you would be looking after first.
