Every time I try to bring the subject up, my mom switches the subject. And whenever I ask her to read what I wrote about hamsters, she pretends o read it, and then she says something like:
';I like the colors you wrote this in';How can I convince my parents to let me get a hamster?
You might need to go here to look about the things you need for the hamster and to go read this along with your parents http://www.petco.com/caresheets/small%20鈥?/a>
Tell your parents that you will get a teddy bear hamster they don't bite and i think are the cutest bread of hamster. You know that hamsters can live up to 2 or 3 years right? Allways clean your hamsters cage feed it the right foods and here is a hamster care sheet to read http://www.petwebsite.com/hamsters/hamst鈥?/a> and here http://www.hsus.org/pets/pet_care/rabbit鈥?/a>
make sure the right foods to give to your hamster here is a list http://www.petco.com/Content/Article.asp鈥?/a> never feed your hamster fruits like limes lemons and oranges any thing with citric acid or meats oh and NEVER give your hamster a bath only do that if there is like gum or somthing stuck in their furr if you do it on a regular basis your hamster will freze and might die. Got it?How can I convince my parents to let me get a hamster?
Prove to her that you can are responsible enough to handle one. Look up some information. And tell her you really want this. Be polite though. Good luck hope you get it! I see your name says hamster-lover so you must really like them.
tell them to give you a chance. and that they will never know unless they give you a chance. also tell them you want to be a vet...seriously it could work!
1-Do all your homework and clean up and do chores BEFORE your parents ask.
2-be very nice and dont nag them at all, mabye once or twice but thats it. cause parents dont like to hear ';PLZ PLZ PLZ PLZ PLZ PLZ PLZ?! WAHHHH'; all the time.
3- do alot of research and show how much you really want one.
4- get really cute and funny pictures of the internet that they will like.
5- after all that, gather them around and do a presentation (slide show, poster, ect.) then see what they say.
i hope it works! Good Luck!
beg them until they get so annoyed that they will listen to what u say and show them that u know how to take care of them
It sounds like she is stalling not saying no...Sometimes parents already have a plan to get you something like that but for a special occassion. Is your birthday coming up or a holiday? She may want to be the one to surprise you and thats why she hasn't said anything.
it's possible your parents are questioning your readiness for the responsibility of a pet. try proving to them that you can handle taking care of the hamster. if they're dodging it because it grosses them out, tell them they will not be the ones taking care of it...they don't even have to touch it. if you do get one, keep up the work with keeping the cage clean and not letting it loose....and not killing it. whether they like animals or not, they'll be proud of you.
Show them how responsible you are. Start acting more mature and you might get the hamster
Walk in with the hamster and say,'; look what followed me home, can I keep it';
refuse to eat or drink. (when there not home go as quietly as you cn down stars and grab something out of the refrigorator.. hehehe. but nohte you cook in the microwave cause they will be able to tell. besides that, if you asked this question on yahoo this many times, they prbably wont let you get one. srry.
Best way is to accept their answer maturely so next time you ask them for something you can reference your maturity when they said no to a hamster....
Don't, you don't really want a smelly rat in your house....Do you?
Leave delicious Hamster recipes on the refrigerator. Dad'll be sure to want one then!
hmm....ask you're parents if they ever owned a hamster, if they didn't... say ';well, maybe we should try it and see what it's like to own one!'; thats what my mom said because my brother is alergic to hammys, and hes okay!
if she thinks u can't take care of one the show her you can.
if you have other pet and don't really take care of them the start to and it shows you mom u really want a hamster.
i wanted a dog for 8 years i show my mom i could take care od one and she let me get one
or maybe your mom doesn't like rats and hamster are like rats
try pickin other animal instead
HAMSTERS ARE EVIL
Prove to your parents that you are responsible enough to take care of hamsters because in order to own a hamster, you to be responsible and give it a lot of attention. You have to clean and change the water and food daily. You have to play with it every night and take the hamster out every night. Also, you could convince you parents that if you won't take good care of the hamster, you will have to give to another person who will want a hamster.
Good Luck:)
Well if she keeps doing that maybe you could do chores and do your homework or anything else that would impress them. then they might start getting convinced. Also you should maybe if you have a little brother or sister look after them when your parents are busy so they see that you are capable of looking after people and so you could be capable of animals. Also are you sure you want a hamster? It is quite a big job as you have to clean out the cage at least once a week and always feeding it and buying food, treats and other things for it and then facing the grief when it dies. I used to have a hamster. Your parents could also be distracting you or trying to put you off from buying it. That is why they are acting in that way. Maybe your going to get one for your birthday or another special occasion. If that is the case, there is nothing for you to do but wait.
Well good luck to you and hope you manage to get what you want in the end. %26gt;_%26lt;
If I were you I would probably keep trying to convince her to do it. Like if she says no, don't blow up on her. Just be all nice and reasonable. My mom said I couldn't get a pet either, but when I didn't freak out, I got a dog! So try to be reasonable and if your mom has email, send her a message about it! Like the tittle should be like hi mom and when she opens it, you say all the facts about wanting to get hamsters and why there good. Then at the end put ''Can I please get a hamster?' and if she doesn't respond, keep sending messages. And maby throw in some adorable pictures of hamsters! *wink wink nudge nudge* :P
Hope I could help!
This is her friend by the way! Not the user!
