How to convince my parents to let me play ice hockey?

I am wondering how I can convince my parents to let me play ice hockey. I have played roller hockey for two years now and am on the top team for my middle school. They aren't to excited about paying for the expenses but I have enough to pay at least 3/4 of it. What should I do?How to convince my parents to let me play ice hockey?
Go the responsible mature route!

Collect all the info on the Hockey leauge(s) near you. (if there's more than one rink, go to the other rinks %26amp; see what they have (times prices etc) or look it all up on-line %26amp; print it all out!

Tell them that you would pay for 1/2 to 3/4 of it.

Ice is ALOT more forgiving than concrete %26amp; that hard roller hockey floor.

I'm not sure if you can use your roller hockey equpment for the ice hockey. (what about if you can use some of the equpment? Look into that as well. Find out from the coaches or league heads if any of the equpment that you use for roller hockey can be used for the ice. Or if they'd let you play part of the season with it until you have everything. maybe you can get 2 ice hockey pieces of equipment pers month (try somethinglke that) I see as tehre's not much of a difference between the two. I know roller hockey they weren't suppose to check etc. Not sure in rec leauges though. but if you are in one form of hockey Then there should be no prob. as long as you know how to ice skate well.

best of luck to yaHow to convince my parents to let me play ice hockey?

Tell them flat out you will do anything it takes to pursue your hockey career, and it's time to take it to the next level. Just fill them with a bunch of crap about you wanting to make a career out of hockey, and it's time to step up. Ask them for their support.

This will get you on the ice, best of luck.
People only think it's real expensive to play. Mostly when you are on a traveling team and have to pay expenses on the road--hotels, meals, gas. The equip, once it is bought though, lasts a long time. Sticks break alot though, if you have a good strong shot!
Try to get a coach to talk to them on your behalf.
Tell em it's hockey or drugs and alcohol.
complain to them

never stop talking about how fun it would be!

i play hockey. lol u dont care :P

say to them that its ur dream and its all u ever want to do!
