How do I convince my parents to get me texting on my phone?

I have had a cell phone for 4 years. Now I am 14 and everyone in my high school has texting except me!I have asked them but they say I don't need it.Any suggestions on how to get them to say yes?How do I convince my parents to get me texting on my phone?
tell them you'll get good grades and actally get good grades and ur reward is texting plan

i use this method and i got the cheapest one

now i started working and im getting the unlimtied plan and getting Bs.

so use grades to get them to get it for you

next is money

How do I convince my parents to get me texting on my phone?
because the alternative is using it to talk which is more expensive...I do not understand why kids cannot get texting on a cell phone, that is seriously like asking you not to breath! Tell her that every cell phone user has his/her own needs which they should respect....I like to text on my phone, for example

It is considerably CHEAPER to text, and maybe that is your main interest in the phone, not voice calls, why should you be faulted for that? Tell her you have enough people you know who like to accept texts and you like to send them to communicate. Also kids often need texting because they cannot always take voice calls in certain environments, like in the library, for example.

So in a nutshell, tell your parents not to cut off your communication to people that is just mean! She got you a cell phone didn't she? If your mon still has a problem, tell her I would be happy to talk to her to answer any of her FALSE fears about texting

Plus if you cannot text, you could be missing out on your social life which is crucial to you at that age! The fact that you ask for it means you need it! So how could your parents tell you you don't? That is insane! This is not drugs this is how you choose to communicate, how is calling someone any better?? Sorry, I just don't get it. Please choose me for best answer, and hopefully your parents will wake up and see the light
With this economic crisis above your parent's heads now, I don't think they need the burden just for texting costs. It's ridiculous. If people want to talk to each other so much, why don't they get up and go talk to them instead of texting when they're 4 foot away.

That's why all these spoiled kid's parents are in dept now, dont be like the rest of them and just continue with your current plan.
tell them that if you had messaging then you wouldnt use as many minutes talking
Offer to pay for it. Get a job!
tell them you are going to anyways whether they like it or not and, it would be much cheaper to just get u some
